Through a single mobile and web experience, Clarafiy helps you understand your car, track its maintenance, decode dashboard warning lights, organize your insurance policies, and have honest conversations with mechanics, dealers, and shops. Clarafiy is built on the principle that you, the car owner, should own and control your vehicle data.
Clarafiy was founded by Zahra Ali in Carrollton, Texas (Dallas–Fort Worth metropolitan area). Zahra brings enterprise-scale AI implementation experience from state Medicaid program work at Maximus and intelligent automation work at LinkedIn. Clarafiy operates under North Star Solutions LLC.

Raffy, the AI Mechanic
Raffy is Clarafiy's AI mechanic assistant. Ask Raffy any question about your car in plain language and Raffy responds with clear, jargon-free answers grounded in your vehicle's specific make, model, year, and recorded service history.
Strange noises, what a dashboard warning light means, whether a quoted repair sounds reasonable, what a recommended service actually does, when your next maintenance is due, what a manufacturer recommendation means in plain English, how urgent something is, what a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) means. Raffy is informational and educational.
No. Raffy helps you understand your car and your repair conversations. For actual repair work, you still need a qualified mechanic. Raffy makes you a better-informed customer when you walk into the shop.
Raffy provides general automotive information for educational purposes. It is not a substitute for professional mechanical advice. Always consult a certified mechanic for important decisions, and for any safety concerns, do not rely solely on AI-generated information.
Raffy does not file insurance claims, transmit data to insurance carriers, recommend specific insurance coverage, or facilitate transactions with shops or dealers on your behalf. Raffy is informational. Decisions belong to you.
Chat messages are stored locally on your device. When you send a message to Raffy, only the question and relevant vehicle info is sent to our AI partner (DeepSeek). Your name, email, or VIN are not sent.
Features and Capabilities
The Dashboard Scanner uses your phone's camera and AI image recognition to identify dashboard warning lights. Point your phone at the lit-up symbol; Clarafiy identifies it, explains what it means, indicates urgency, and suggests next steps. No hardware required.
No. Clarafiy is software-only — there's no Clarafiy hardware to buy. To enter specific diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs), a standard OBD-II code reader (available at any auto parts store for $20–$50) can be helpful but isn't required for using Raffy or any other Clarafiy feature.
Add your vehicles by VIN (auto-fills year, make, model, trim from NHTSA) or manually, log service events as they happen or back-fill from existing records, and Clarafiy organizes everything into a clear timeline. The health score (0–100%) reflects days since last service, mileage since last service, open recall count, and service frequency.
On the free tier, 1 vehicle. On Pro Individual, unlimited vehicles for a single user. On Pro Family and Pro Family+, multi-driver multi-vehicle households.
Yes. The Nearby Shop Finder shows trusted repair shops with community-verified recommendations. A Verified badge appears when 3+ Clarafiy users have recommended a shop. Shops cannot pay to influence the ranking of organic listings.
For every vehicle you add, Clarafiy pulls recall and complaint data directly from NHTSA. Open recalls are displayed prominently. Recall repairs from the manufacturer's dealership are typically free of charge — don't ignore them.
The Insurance Suite
The Insurance Suite is Clarafiy's personal insurance organizer. Scan your insurance card with your phone camera (OCR auto-fills the fields), upload PDF declarations pages, store all your policy details securely, receive renewal reminders 30, 14, and 7 days before policy expiration, and link policies to specific vehicles for instant access during a claim.
Insurance card images and policy details are stored securely in your account and visible only to you.
No. Clarafiy does not transmit your insurance data to insurers, brokers, or any other third parties unless you explicitly choose to export and share it yourself. The only outbound emails are renewal reminder emails sent to the email address on your account.
Always verify them. OCR is accurate most of the time but not perfect, and incorrect policy numbers could cause problems in an emergency. Clarafiy flags low-confidence fields with a warning, but please double-check before saving.
No. Clarafiy is not a licensed insurance broker, agent, or advisor. We help you organize your information and remember renewal dates, but coverage decisions should be made with a licensed insurance professional.
All your insurance policies, uploaded documents, and renewal alert history are permanently deleted within 30 days of account deletion.
Email reminders 30, 14, and 7 days before any policy's expiration date, based on the dates you've saved. Clarafiy doesn't auto-renew or contact your insurer — these are reminders for you.
The Insurance Suite is a paid-tier feature. Pro Individual ($10/month), Pro Family ($15/month), and Pro Family+ ($25/month) all include the Insurance Suite. Founder's Circle members receive six months of Pro Individual completely free at launch — including full access to the Insurance Suite.

Clarafiy uses honest whole-number pricing — no $X.99 charm pricing, because pricing should be straightforward: Free is $0/month forever (1 vehicle, 10 Raffy questions/month, 5 dashboard scans/month, 12-month service history, full diagnostic code lookup). Pro Individual is $10/month (unlimited vehicles, unlimited Raffy, unlimited scans, lifetime service history, full Insurance Suite, priority Raffy response). Pro Family is $15/month (everything in Pro Individual plus up to 4 household members, multi-driver vehicle sharing, household-wide insurance wallet). Pro Family+ is $25/month (everything in Pro Family plus extended capacity, priority support, early access to new features). Annual billing is available at 2 months free across all paid tiers.

Privacy and Data
No. Clarafiy does not sell your personal data to third parties for their independent commercial use. We do not currently share your personal data with insurance carriers, dealerships, or advertising platforms. If our data practices ever materially change, we will notify you in advance and obtain consent where required by law.
Account info (name, email, encrypted password), vehicle information you provide (VIN if you enter it, year, make, model, mileage, license plate, nickname), service records you log, shop recommendations you submit, chat messages with Raffy, and standard product usage data. Location data is collected only while you're actively using the Shop Finder feature. Full details are in the Privacy Policy.
Yes. Settings > Account > Delete Account, or email privacy@clarafiy.com. All personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days of the deletion request.

No. Clarafiy is not a licensed insurance broker, agent, or advisor and does not sell or recommend insurance. The Insurance Suite is a personal insurance organizer — store your policy details, upload documents, get renewal reminders. Insurance and coverage decisions are yours to make with your licensed agent or broker.
On secure cloud servers with encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and encryption at rest for sensitive data. Chat history is also stored locally on your device.
