Clarafiy was built because car ownership in America is one of the largest categories of household spending where the consumer routinely has the least information at the moment of decision.
You sit in the service drive at the dealership. The advisor reads off a list of recommended work. You don’t know if any of it is necessary, what fair pricing looks like, what’s safety-critical versus convenience, or what your manufacturer actually requires at this mileage. You nod and approve, or you push back and feel unreasonable, or you walk out and worry you just neglected something important.
You stand in your kitchen looking at a stack of envelopes from your insurance carrier. Three vehicles, three different renewal dates, two different policy types, and you can’t remember when any of them are due. Your insurance card is somewhere in your glovebox. Log your vehicles by VIN (auto-decodes from NHTSA), record service events, store receipts, and watch your vehicle’s health score evolve. The household plan keeps every car a family owns in one place — including the one your new-driver teen just took to college.
Service Record Management
Every oil change, every tire rotation, every repair. Searchable, complete, and yours — including when you sell the car and the next owner wants to see it.
Nearby Shop Finder

Real-time data from NHTSA. Your vehicle’s open recalls (typically free to repair at the dealership) and consumer complaints reported on your make, model, and year. Stay ahead of problems before they become dangerous.

What Clarafiy Does Not Do
Clarafiy is not an insurance broker, agent, or advisor. Clarafiy is not licensed to sell or recommend insurance. Clarafiy does not transmit data to insurance carriers, file claims on your behalf, or initiate transactions with shops or dealers.
Clarafiy is software that helps you understand your vehicle and organize your records. Decisions about repairs, insurance, and coverage remain with you and the licensed professionals you choose to work with.
This is a deliberate boundary, not a temporary one.
Why Transparency
The AI car care category in 2026 is crowded. CarEazy, CarFix AI, Car Genie, Car AI, FIXD, Carly, AUTODOC, SmartDrive Pro, and at least a dozen others promise diagnostics in your pocket. Most compete on features.
Clarafiy competes on a principle.
The vehicle data ecosystem is built around the consumer, not for them. Dealership management systems, insurance telematics platforms, OEM connected-car platforms, and aftermarket data brokers all monetize information about your car against you — through service marketing, premium adjustments, recall outreach, resale valuations, and a growing list of downstream targeting use cases.
Clarafiy’s premise: your car’s data should work for you first. Not for a dealer’s CRM. Not for a carrier’s underwriting model. Not for an aftermarket parts retargeting platform. We don’t sell your personal data to third parties for their independent commercial use. We don’t currently share your data with insurance carriers, dealerships, or advertising platforms. We don’t accept payment from shops to influence the ranking of organic listings in our directory. About Zahra Ali
Clarafiy was founded by Zahra Ali in Carrollton, Texas.
Zahra brings enterprise-scale AI implementation experience from state Medicaid program work at Maximus, where she led OCR, RPA, and chatbot programs across Texas, New York, North Carolina, and Massachusetts. The North Carolina Medicaid Provider tool her team built received a Hermes Creative Award Gold designation. She moved from public-sector AI to platform-scale automation at LinkedIn, where she worked on intelligent automation supporting users across dozens of languages.
Zahra holds a degree from The University of Texas at Austin and is completing graduate work at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She is fluent in seven languages and is an active member of Leadership Education for Asian Pacifics (LEE), where she previously served as Director of Technology.
She founded Clarafiy after watching her own family members and people in her community repeatedly overpay for car repairs they did not understand and could not verify — and after watching the same people lose track of insurance policies, miss renewal dates, and dig through email for paperwork they should have been able to find in seconds. Clarafiy is the product she wishes those people had had.
Our Technology
Clarafiy is open about the technology partners that power the product because transparency about data flows is part of the brand:
- NHTSA — VIN decoding, recall data, complaint data
- DeepSeek AI — diagnostic explanations through Raffy (only the question and vehicle context are sent; not personal identifying information)
- Google Vision API — OCR text extraction from insurance card images (commercial Cloud Vision terms apply; images are not used to train Google’s AI models)
- Google Places API — shop information for the Nearby Shop Finder
- Resend — transactional email delivery for renewal reminders
- Stripe — payment processing for paid tiers (Clarafiy does not store credit card numbers)
- AWS / Replit — cloud hosting
